About The Position

Intermountain Electronics (IE) is a leading provider and manufacturer of custom engineered Process, Electrical Control and Power Distribution turn-key solutions to the Data Center, Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, Mining industries in North America. Our products range from large scale one-off custom Power Distribution, Control and Process systems to standard off-the-shelf electronic/electro-mechanical components. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager we are currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler for our Weekend Shift to be based at our Price, UT facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, plus three years' experience in shipping/receiving/warehouse operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of IE organization and operations, shipping/receiving practices, and procedures.
  • Good understanding and knowledge in the production and manufacturing of electrical distribution equipment related to mining industry.
  • Lift Up To 50 Lbs., Push/Pull Up To 100 Lbs.
  • Must be able to read English, count accurately, do simple math, and write English legibly.
  • Must be able to safely operate Company forklifts.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, dependable and able to fulfill obligations.
  • Good PC skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and MS Outlook, EPICOR and other specialized purchasing applications.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of internal employees, customers and vendors.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision.
  • Must be team player and self-motivated.
  • Bottom line focus on delivering value to the organization.
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and additional time as required.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, staging, and delivering received goods from the warehouse to the production floor in a timely manner.
  • Tracking, monitoring, and delivering all material in IE Facility to Point of Use, inventory and/or job carts.
  • Delivering daily received items from 4-wheeler trailer to shop floor.
  • Delivering materials requested from production floor line lead or project manager and obtaining sign-off.
  • Maintaining Material Request Queue to ensure timely delivers to, will-call or shop floor.
  • Ensuring that goods are appropriately identified and staged for manufacturing and rebuild for routing to shop floor or other departments within the Company.
  • Reading production schedule to determine when kitted job carts should be prepared and distributed to shop floor.
  • Returning finished job carts to warehouse as jobs are out of the test department, documenting and returning leftover material to inventory, and communicating with buyers for supplier returns.
  • Ensuring items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • Directing salvage of damaged or used material.
  • Operating forklift to move or hoist shipments from warehouse to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Conferring with appropriate department heads to ensure coordination of shipping/receiving warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production and sales.
  • Coordinating weekly scheduled review meetings for plan of continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining proper communication with Project Managers with respect to kitting of job cart material.
  • Overseeing the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
  • Assisting with cycle counts and inventory maintenance.
  • Maintaining regular and consistent job attendance.
