About The Position

The Warehouse Material Handler ensures inventory control management and warehouse operations for environmental services facilities, handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of experience in a comparable manufacturing or warehouse environment involving chemical handling
  • ERP experience in SAP
  • Knowledge of Water Technology
  • Knowledge of the lab, work with lab technicians and perform quality control checks
  • Operates yard-mule and forklift as business needs
  • Warehouse Management knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Manage receipt, storage, and distribution of materials including hazardous and non-hazardous items
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
  • Receive incoming shipments of goods, often using forklifts or other equipment to unload trucks and other delivery vehicles.
  • Verify that the items received match the accompanying documentation
  • Inspect items for damage before moving them to designated storage areas
  • Maintain accurate, neat and complete records of all calibration/operation logs and reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Use warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
  • Receipt, storage, issue and stock control of materials in the warehouse
  • Maintains all reagent and chemical inventory in the calibration room
  • Assist Material buyer in cycle count, blind and yearly inventory
  • Receiving, issuing parts listed for plant and field use
  • Responsible for stocking spill kits, firelocker and housekeeping of waste management areas
  • Responsible for rebuilding, testing all configurations of Cla-Vals and dosing pumps
  • Handling of potentially hazardous chemicals
  • Responsible for all hazardous chemical storage areas, deliveries, tank levels and dilutions during the shift.
  • Follow safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that loading and docking areas are clear
