Warehouse Material Handler II - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Material Handler II plays a key role in daily warehouse operations. Reporting to the Supervisor, this position handles the sortation, movement, placement, and condition of materials, including pallets, totes, and merchandise. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to perform minor repairs so products meet quality standards before shipment. The position works second shift, 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The stated pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with 50-cent progressions at 90 days, one year, and annually. The employee primarily works in a warehouse and may be exposed to dust, hot or cold temperatures, and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment are required.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing products and performing quality inspections.
- Mechanical aptitude for performing minor repairs and using various tools.
- Ability to follow safety procedures for moving products and working with equipment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of constant standing, walking, bending, and stooping; repeatedly lift and move materials that may be heavy; and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe movement of products, including pallets, totes, or merchandise.
- Review products or merchandise to ensure proper placement.
- Prepare pallets or totes for shipment.
- Perform minor repairs on pallets or totes, including pressure washing, manual drying, removing loose wood, residue or sticker adhesive, buffing, or cutting foreign materials.
- Perform sortation, inventory, and quality inspections as required by the location.
- Perform other assigned duties to support and improve team operations.
- Adjust to new work assignments and schedules to meet company needs and business requirements.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
