About The Position

The Warehouse and logistics manager is responsible for creating a setting in which employees become involved, responsible and self-motivated. This role will be responsible for providing training, continuous improvement, and quality products and services. Administers organization policies and supports plant objectives. Drives the processes in department through the Eaton Business systems. Assists plant leadership team in the development of processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain inventory, and reduce overall costs and through these improvements exceed the customer’s expectations. Making sure that the organization decisions making is based on a process-oriented culture – to ensure the linkage from strategy to actions.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain or Warehousing Logistics.
  • Two (2) year of experience managing warehouse direct reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain related field.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Three (3)+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Five (5)+ years of Supply Chain or Warehousing Logistics Experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

Responsibilities

  • Design warehouses (layouts, flow design, racking), including calculations to determine requirements of labor, capacity, pallet positions, racking, material handling systems and equipment, dock processing areas, etc.
  • Develop and maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals
  • Ensure accurate transactions and usage of ERP systems
  • Manage warehouse department budget
  • Lead logistics cost out opportunities
  • Provide quality customer service to production stake holders and ensure a material flow that is aligned with production needs
  • Lead and develop warehouse supervisors; establish goals, objectives and deadlines
  • Maintain the relationship between carriers and site operations
  • Follow and maintain the 5’s + culture
  • Establish clear expectations and goals to employees and maintain accountability for results including required training
  • Develop and implement standardized shipping process to ensure on-time shipments as per customer specifications
  • Participate and lead daily tier meetings with a cross-functional team focused on departmental performance and issue resolution. Lead weekly departmental meetings to communicate safety topics, department or plant-wide activities, business updates and policy/procedural changes as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies within the warehouse
  • Review supply chain issues; work with the other functional areas toward resolution and process improvement
