Warehouse Manager - Athena Farms - Forest Park, GA
About The Position

We’re looking for a hands‑on Warehouse Manager who leads with integrity, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and takes pride in running a clean, safe, and highly organized operation. In this role, you’ll oversee all warehouse functions—including receiving, inventory accuracy, driver check‑ins, food safety compliance, and team leadership. You’ll ensure our products are handled with care, our warehouse runs efficiently, and our team is supported every step of the way.
Requirements
- 3+ years of leadership experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or foodservice logistics
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and maintain accountability
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, organization, and safety
- Forklift certification required
- Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments
- Tech‑savvy and able to learn new systems quickly
Nice To Haves
- HACCP certification preferred
- Experience with food safety programs (GMP, FSMS, PrimusGFS) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead, schedule, and support warehouse staff to ensure full shift coverage and strong daily productivity
- Oversee all receiving operations, including driver check‑ins, dock assignments, paperwork verification, and inbound inspections
- Maintain overall inventory accuracy through cycle counts, FIFO enforcement, stock rotation, and variance investigations
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, FSMS, and PrimusGFS requirements
- Monitor cooler and freezer temperatures, sanitation routines, and warehouse cleanliness
- Conduct daily team meetings, communicate priorities, and resolve operational issues quickly
- Train warehouse personnel on safety, equipment use, food handling, and company procedures
- Oversee equipment maintenance, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse tools
- Maintain accurate documentation for receiving, food waste, quality checks, and safety meetings
- Collaborate with transportation, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations
- Participate in management meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives
