About The Position

The Warehouse Manager in Houston, TX, within the Accommodation and Food Services industry, is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse to ensure timely receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP).
• Experience in the accommodation and food services industry or a related hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and best practices in warehouse safety.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain high performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other departments to align warehouse activities with business needs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment.
• Analyze workflow and space utilization to optimize warehouse layout and processes.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and operational issues for senior management.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to support warehouse functions.
