Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma/GED or minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently.
  • Work effectively as a team member.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to maintain required certifications.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
  • Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Responsibilities

  • Moves material within the Distribution Center and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
  • Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit using appropriate hand tools; ensures materials are properly loaded using pallets, trays, racks, and shelves; and conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using a hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other devices.
  • Occasionally operates an industrial truck or electric hoist to assist with loading or moving materials and products.
  • Ensures all identifying tags, labels, or marks are properly attached to materials, cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Maintains accurate records in the appropriate warehouse information system as required by management.
  • Receives incoming inventory and supply items, logs items into the company warehouse system, and stocks inventory in the proper location.
  • Reads work orders and shipping orders, or follows verbal instructions, to fulfill warehouse tasks accurately.
  • Fills customer invoices; checks part numbers; cleans and packs inventory items.
  • Inspects inventory for defects, scratches, or other damage, and notifies Project Managers (PMs) immediately.
  • Follows all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or operating company vehicles or equipment.
  • Tracks all inventory in the appropriate warehouse systems.
  • Organizes and cleans warehouse space and company equipment as needed.
  • Reports any customer problems or concerns immediately.
  • Coaches fellow associates and other employees on warehouse operational practices and procedures, equipment operation, and safety procedures as needed.
  • Enforces policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations.
  • Evaluates current processes and procedures, and recommends changes to management.
  • Contributes ideas for reducing warehouse cost per unit and increasing productivity.
  • Maintains working knowledge of the warehouse data system and performs various tasks within it.
  • Delivers supplies and equipment in a timely manner when requested, observing all DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Adheres to all driving requirements as determined by state and federal regulations.
  • Keeps DOT medical card current and delivers material as needed.
  • Provides and maintains a personal smartphone capable of installing and supporting apps required for customer and KCI support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
