Requirements

  • Have Highschool diploma/ GED or Equivalent
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have dependable transportation, able to pass a background check, physical and drug screening, and be authorized to work in the USA
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR).
  • Minimum 2 years of prior forklift experience required.
  • Experience with properly securing equipment and materials on trailers is required
  • Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality and organization of inventory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to take direction well.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently.

  • Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and maintain the confidentiality of business information.
  • Possess good organizational, interpersonal, initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; climb or balance; stand; walk; lift or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally team lift or move up to 100 pounds; work overhead and in cramped quarters.
  • Must follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by UMC, Inc.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL is a plus.
  • Current forklift certification is a plus; certification training will be provided for candidates with expired or no prior certification.
  • Familiarity with plumbing and or HVAC parts and terminology is a plus
  • Familiarity with inventory software, and able to upload data into the company system (will train).

Responsibilities

  • Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location
  • Maintains overall cleanliness and organization of the shop
  • Process inventory for delivery.
  • Receive freight and material deliveries and ensure quality.
  • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
  • Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and delivery to proper locations
  • Update logs and documentation for inventory processing.
  • Move materials, tools, and equipment to and from UMC warehouse, jobsites, and supply houses
  • Prepare, sort, and kit materials for delivery as needed
  • Track and audit company tool assets.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
