About The Position

Technica is seeking to hire a Warehouse Manager to support the DLA Distribution Center in Guam. This role involves managing storage and distribution operations, ensuring performance levels are met or exceeded while controlling labor costs. The Warehouse Manager will direct employees in receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, and distributing materials using automated and manual equipment. Responsibilities include managing staff through hiring, onboarding, training, and ensuring adherence to timekeeping policies. The position requires planning the use of resources based on projected workloads, establishing deadlines and priorities, and redirecting resources to accommodate fluctuations and unanticipated work. The manager will also conduct planning for current and future work schedules, provide workload data, and ensure work is performed efficiently according to contract terms. Maintaining clean and safe workspaces and utilizing WMS and other Government Data Systems are also key duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in distribution and warehousing using WMS or equivalent automated system within the past five (5) years.
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be on-site during the performance of the task order and must possess the basic knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and be responsible for the successful completion of the project and shall be qualified to be the Contractors on-site supervisor and POC for government representatives.
  • Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing Task Order or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work.
  • Ability to establish project objectives or performance goals and assess progress.
  • Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions.
  • Must have the ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve the delivery of services to the customers.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the storage and distribution operations.
  • Ensures all Acceptable Performance Levels (APL) for warehouse operations are met or exceeded while maintaining cost control of labor.
  • Directs employees engaged in receiving, storing, issue, shipment and distribution of a variety of bin and bulk materials, equipment, and commodities using automated and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems.
  • Manages employees to include hiring, onboarding, training and ensuring timekeeping policies are adhered to.
  • Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on projected workload on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
  • Redirects workers and resources to accommodate daily workload fluctuations and to accomplish unanticipated work.
  • Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
  • Ensures work is performed properly and efficiently IAW the terms and condition of the contract.
  • Ensures the warehousing workspaces remain clean and safe.
  • Uses WMS and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.
