About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the supervision of the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products in all TAS facilities and 3rd Party vendors. This role oversees warehouse and inventory management across multiple facilities in the Houston metropolitan area, including receiving, storing, fulfilling production requirements, transfers between TAS sites, 3rd party vendors, and shipments to Customer sites. The manager will also supervise and train warehouse associates, analyze and suggest process improvements, prioritize workload, and participate in Operational Excellence initiatives. Financial objectives will be met by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Ensuring a safe and accessible warehouse for employees and visitors, identifying and addressing safety hazards, and developing and following processes are key responsibilities. The role involves performing 5S activities, documenting requirements, and working with IT to enhance ERP functionalities. Metrics reporting and data analysis are crucial for identifying issues and opportunities. The manager will also create training materials, maintain training records, assist in recruitment, accurately stock material, and implement cycle count programs. This position requires intense interaction with the company's ERP & Warehouse Management Systems, as well as collaboration with other departments, and is responsible for planning and executing the Annual Physical Inventory.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to manage and develop warehouse staff.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Requires intense interaction with LN & Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • 5+ years of related factory experience and/or training
  • 5+ years of previous of management or supervisory experience
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Computer knowledge with warehouse ERP systems, basic MS Office software.

  • Dashboards and Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Lean/Kaizen, Black Belt, and other Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for TAS employees and visitors.
  • Identify and address all safety hazards within the work area.
  • Ensures processes are developed and followed.
  • Perform 5S activities as required.
  • Document requirements and works with IT to enhance ERP functionalities to improve efficiencies and simplify warehouse transactions.
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Create training materials and maintain training records for all warehouse employees.
  • Assist in the recruitment of warehouse personnel.
  • Accurately stock material physically and electronically into proper warehouse bin locations.
  • Implement Cycle count programs and establish goals for cycle count completion, and inventory accuracy.
  • Planning and executing Annual Physical inventory.
  • Any other duties as assigned by TAS
