About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a Warehouse Manager for our Durham, NC branch. This role involves providing strategic leadership for two warehouses located on different campuses, directly overseeing 10 associates. The position requires onsite engagement with associates on the production floor, promoting safety, driving associate engagement, and ensuring high levels of quality in customer shipments and inventory integrity. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates, overseeing all warehouse activities including inbound and outbound shipments, order picking, packaging, and cycle counting. Maintaining site cleanliness, security, and associate safety are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

3 years of experience in distribution management leading 3+ employees in a large distribution/warehouse environment.
Must have leadership experience in managing and developing a team, including mentoring, coaching, training, and performance management.
Ability to work with people and build a positive and engaging environment for associates.
Phenomenal interactive communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization.
Strong computer skills, including expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing a team of delivery drivers is a plus.
Material Handling Equipment Certification.

Provide consistent communication to associates and counterparts.
Drive high levels of quality in customer shipments and inventory integrity.
Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training, and providing professional development.
Lead and oversee associates performing activities including unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, order picking, packaging, shipping of outbound orders, and cycle counting.
Ensure high levels of cleanliness are maintained in sites and confirm that cycle counts are completed daily and accurately.
Maintain security of the warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to management.
