About The Position

Marathon Petroleum Company is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations at its Salt Lake City Refinery. This role is responsible for building a best-in-class warehouse operation that supports refinery reliability, maintenance efficiency, and supply chain excellence, while aligning material management strategies to business priorities.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Four (4) or more years of warehousing, Supply Chain, or business relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Provides oversight in the execution of daily warehouse operations, including the handling of goods receipts, goods issues, picklists, cycle counting, stock put away, logistics, and quality control/assurance.
Coordinates contract employees responsible for the handling and processing materials and supplies, ensuring that the expected standards of job performance and safety are met where sites require.
Collaborates with the Supply Chain Operations Materials Management group for material master creations/updates/deletions, daily Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and running reports.
Provides guidance on local material management activities including cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and running reports.
Maintains high Health, Environment, Safety & Security (HES&S) standards; leads and participates in activities supporting HES&S commitments.
Ensures compliance with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and requirements related to warehousing and inventory control.
Optimizes and maintains facilities (warehouses, laydown yards, chemical/catalyst storage, turnaround (TAR), temporary storage areas, offsite storage sites); ensures stationary and mobile equipment are maintained and replaced as necessary.
