About The Position

Manages and coordinates the efforts of all staff in order to meet customer demands while minimizing costs through lean operations. Manages storage and distribution activities of the company to ensure maximum utilization of facilities. Administers operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. Ensures products, parts, or supplies are shipped, distributed or received in an efficient manner. Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment and prepares work for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment. Ensures coordination of warehouse activities such as production, sales, records control and purchasing departments. Take precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Evaluates inventory on hand. Prepares or reviews distribution documents. Manages salvage of damaged or used materials. May participate in planning personnel-safety and plant-protection activities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities to motivate and guide staff effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle various aspects of warehouse operations simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory software.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics.
  • Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational ERP Systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Medical Device Industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment through regular inspections and training.
  • Manage the receiving, warehousing, distribution/shipping, and maintenance operations to ensure efficient processes.
  • Supervise and lead Warehouse and Shipping Supervisors, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Plan and coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of FGs, optimizing warehouse layout and workflow for maximum productivity.
  • Ensure all Production SO’s and FGs are reviewed daily to cover demands as appropriate and priority.
  • Utilize Labor in order to meet all customer demands while minimizing hiring.
  • Identify and communicate HR issues, including available labor capacity or labor needs to the HR Manager.
  • Manage the Quality Process and ensure all non-conforming material is segregated and removed from inventory quickly and appropriately.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement inventory management techniques to maintain accurate records and prevent stockouts.
  • Manage Cycle Counting team and track their inventory, regular cycle counting is a necessary auditing process.
  • Maintain a 99%+ Inventory Record Accuracy standard to support inventory integrity and minimize the need for annual physical inventories.
  • Maintain Accurate Inventory.
  • Ensure that discrepant inventory counts are rectified immediately.
  • Lead and Conduct Physical Inventory at prescribed intervals partnership with Finance Team.
  • Act swiftly to eliminate Dead Stock identified on Dead Stock Reports.
  • Identify and Communicate Facility Issues to Supervisor.
  • Identify and Communicate Capital Needs to Supervisor.
  • Identify constraints which prohibit your warehouse from meeting these expectations and communicate them to Manager immediately.
  • Maintain 98%+ On-Time Delivery performance based on the timely processing and fulfillment of pick lists/tickets released to the warehouse.
