About The Position

The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations within a CheckSammy Zero Point Facility. This position ensures the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in full alignment with CheckSammy’s sustainability goals and operational standards. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team responsible for sorting, baling, recycling, and material movement while maintaining a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of warehouse, production, or recycling facility management experience required.
  • At least 1 year experience as a warehouse manager.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and warehouse safety practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse teams.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient with data reporting and basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, ERP/WMS tools).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in recycling, waste management, or sustainability-focused operations strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing cost and P&L a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enforce safety and security guidelines, as established by CheckSammy, in full compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Drive morale, efficiency, speed, and accuracy on the sorting lines and material processing areas.
  • Enforce systems, processes, and procedures as established by CheckSammy for recycling, waste diversion, and reporting.
  • Report tracked metrics to senior management staff on a regular basis, including throughput, cost, diversion rates, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with driving and maintaining a productive, positive, and safety-first work culture across the facility.
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including sorting, baling, loading/unloading, equipment operation, and material staging.
  • Collaborate with corporate Operations, Technology, Sales and Sustainability teams to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with environmental targets.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations for warehouse employees.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment; coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
  • Manage cost using P&L and other cost metrics and measures.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.
