About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for supporting field operations by ensuring efficient management, tracking, and distribution of equipment, materials, and supplies. This role works closely with the Field Coordinators (FCs) to maintain inventory accuracy, streamline logistics, and ensure field teams are properly equipped to execute projects safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs. and perform physical warehouse tasks
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work on-site

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in environmental consulting or field-based operations
  • Familiarity with soil, groundwater, or air sampling equipment
  • Experience with inventory systems or fleet management
  • Strong communication skills with ability to coordinate across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Mechanical aptitude or basic equipment repair maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, organizing, and distributing equipment.
  • Implement and maintain a warehouse management system (WMS), including asset tracking (e.g., RFID tags, barcoding).
  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records and ensure proper documentation in inventory software.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts (weekly/monthly/quarterly) to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Audit incoming materials and equipment for quality and completeness.
  • Coordinate with FCs to assign and prepare equipment for daily field activities.
  • Communicate daily inventory updates, equipment availability, and shortages to FCs.
  • Ensure timely delivery, staging, and return of field equipment.
  • Support project execution by coordinating equipment calibration, maintenance, and servicing.
  • Manage shipments, deliveries, and returns between warehouse, field sites, and off-site storage.
  • Coordinate pickup/drop-off of rented equipment (including Denver-area coordination, if applicable).
  • Optimize warehouse layout and material flow for efficiency and accessibility.
  • Identify and resolve logistical bottlenecks impacting field operations.
  • Track and maintain equipment inventory, including calibration schedules and service records.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs, as needed.
  • Support fleet-related logistics (equipment assigned to trucks, readiness, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and equipment usage.
  • Manage invoices to ensure documentation is delivered digitally to FCs.
  • Provide regular reporting on inventory levels, usage trends, and operation efficiency.
  • Identify risks early and implement corrective actions.
