About The Position

Louisville Tile Distributors is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead a team of 4. This position offers competitive pay and no weekend work. The Warehouse Manager provides leadership for Warehouse Associates, delivers excellent customer service, champions process improvement, works towards exceeding metrics including KPIs and audits, and executes all policies and procedures related to warehouse activities. The role also requires the ability to fulfill the duties of a Warehouse Associate. This is a Monday-Friday, first shift position. Applicants must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check. Requirements

  • 3 years warehouse experience
  • Forklift Experience and able to complete Certification Class within 7 days of hire
  • Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Warehouse Management System
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 90 lbs. in accordance with safety training

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for Warehouse Associates.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Champions process improvement.
  • Works towards exceeding metrics including KPIs and audits.
  • Executes all policies and procedures related to warehouse activities.
  • Fulfills the duties of a Warehouse Associate.
  • Ensures the warehouse is a safe environment.
  • Reviews, inspects and holds subordinates accountable through documented notifications.
  • Reprimands and disciplines employees within the guidelines of corporate policies.
  • Schedules staff and oversees overtime.
  • Conducts performance reviews.
  • Oversees damaged material and loss prevention.
  • Conducts weekly staff meetings.
  • Solicits feedback from the team to foster growth and success.
  • Ensures all warehouse employees have correct certifications, including power industrial equipment.
  • Evaluates and monitors the onboarding training process for current and new employees.
  • Leads a team of warehouse associates.
  • Performs picking, packing, receiving, and shipping of orders – will call or delivery.
  • Documents and inspects product for damage, shade variation, and shipping accuracy.
  • Communicates with the branch and Corporate Departments, including Purchasing.
  • Reports all issues, outside of daily branch activity, to Regional Warehouse Managers.
  • Attends all warehouse meetings: Monthly Regional, Monthly Warehouse Manager and travels for annual Warehouse Manager conference.
  • Manages inventory control: Weekly cycle counts, vendor returns, adjustments, obsolete management, expired items, and consolidation.
  • Manages and reviews weekly reports to identify issues, correct, and train team members.
