About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of warehouse operations. The Warehouse Manager will develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, manage inventory, lead a team, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a track record of success in optimizing operations and leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members at all levels.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement warehouse strategies to optimize space utilization, streamline workflows, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of goods. Ensure accuracy of inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high levels of productivity. Provide training as needed to ensure team members are equipped with necessary skills.
  • Enforce safety standards and procedures to create a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of outbound shipments. Address any quality issues and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely receipt of goods and resolve any issues related to shipments or deliveries. Negotiate favorable terms and pricing when necessary.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, such as order fulfillment rates, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and increase overall efficiency within the warehouse. Solicit feedback from team members and implement best practices accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory levels, and performance metrics. Generate regular reports for management review.
