About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory control operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive efficiency and best practices. Duties include supervising distribution team members and temporary personnel in inventory control areas, implementing inventory policies, objectives, and tools, supporting planning and forecasting activities, and employing standards, metrics, and procedures to maximize inventory management efficiency. The Warehouse Manager, overseeing Inventory Control, also ensures departmental goals are met, projects remain within budget, and personnel actions are executed effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center environment.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Self-motivated leader with strong problem-solving, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with warehouse/mechanical equipment.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and analytical abilities.
  • Proactive approach to workplace safety and problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to operate effectively under pressure while driving improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated maturity in judgment, commitment, punctuality, and adherence to schedules.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Director of Distribution to plan and coordinate daily workforce scheduling, time management, and task assignments for 20+ Team Members and Temporary Personnel.
  • Lead, supervise, and support warehouse staff by assigning daily workloads, matching skill sets to tasks, and ensuring all team members are equipped with the necessary tools and training to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitor daily operational performance and provide real-time feedback, coaching, and corrective action as needed to ensure standards for accuracy, safety, attendance, and overall productivity are consistently met. Administer formal performance reviews and support employee development through ongoing performance management.
  • Train and cross-train Team Members and Temporary Personnel across various functions, and contribute to the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Validate adherence to established procedures and champion a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Execute and manage inventory control processes, including quarterly cycle counts, investigation and resolution of discrepancies, and communication of inventory adjustments with the Accounting team.
  • Analyze and report on inventory trends and variances through daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to support data-driven decisions.
  • Recommend operational improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and overall warehouse performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.

  • Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule. While being present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams.
