Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years or more of strong background experience in maintenance repair and preventative maintenance programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to: Quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems and resolve maintenance problems
  • Perform work independently with minimal supervision
  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)
  • Highly thorough and dependable; can regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours; ability to be on call and work overtime as needed
  • Capability to multi-task and highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize when required
  • Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in the use of electrical test equipment; ability to troubleshoot and repair control voltage
  • May be required to be equipment certified (upon hire)
  • Safety Sensitive Position. non-regulated Tech performs maintenance minor repairs in plumbing and electrical including 277 volt ballast replacement, troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled PM’s and routine troubleshooting and repairs to sorter/conveyor system; complete all routine lubrications, repairs and trouble-shooting functions on all warehousing equipment in an independent and effective manner
  • Conduct daily conveyor inspections
  • Perform other maintenance and support duties as assigned
  • Maintain parts inventory controls by recording all parts used on work orders
  • Perform repairs to rack damage and install decking to racks
  • Adjust and identify corrective requirements for packaging equipment such as tapers and stretch wrap equipment
  • Assist with any emergency and/or emergency drill to include being the last person to leave the building and ensure the safety or all teammates
  • Investigate and problem-solve various mechanical/electrical issues
