About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Full Time Warehouse Maintenance Technician in West Valley City, Utah. We want the right Warehouse Associate to join us at Ryder and work in the Safest Supply Chain Environment with State of the Art Equipment. Products being handled include various boxes, mainly clothing. Equipment used for the position includes a box cutter and utility cart. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong background in maintenance repair and preventative maintenance programs
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills
• Basic computer and parts inventory system skills
• Aptitude to investigate and problem-solve various mechanical issues
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Complete all routine lubrications, repairs and trouble shooting tasks of mechanical warehouse equipment
• Assist and monitor all work being performed by outside contractors
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance procedures
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines
• Monitor and maintain grounds and building systems
• Depending on location, employee may be required to operate equipment and may be required to be equipment certified
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
