About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Technician in North Aurora, IL. This position offers an hourly pay of $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience, and operates on a First Shift schedule, Monday - Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. We are looking for a dedicated individual to join us in the Safest Supply Chain Environment with State of the Art Equipment. Requirements

  • 2 years of building maintenance and general HVAC and electrical repair experience
  • Must have a clean driving record, to operate a company vehicle to travel within the area
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and trouble-shooting
  • Has the ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder
  • Good organizational, communication, and planning skills
  • Experience operating forklift equipment required

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or Technical Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and trouble-shooting functions on all warehousing equipment in an independent and effective manner
  • Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable
  • Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems
  • Performs routine forklift repairs
  • Maintains batteries and related equipment
  • Performs routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs
  • If required, provides training, including aspects of safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, for operations associates
  • Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed
