About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Technician II in North Aurora, IL. This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate between $28.00 - $35.00, based on experience, and operates on a First Shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. We are committed to providing the safest supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment and are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and trouble-shooting.
• Has the ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Experience operating forklift equipment required.
• Must have a clean driving record, to operate a company vehicle to travel within the area.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Equipment certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and trouble-shooting functions on all warehousing equipment in an independent and effective manner.
• Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable.
• Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems.
• Performs routine forklift repairs.
• Maintains batteries and related equipment.
• Performs routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs.
• If required, provides training, including aspects of safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, for operations associates.
• Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed.
