About The Position

This hands-on role involves loading and unloading shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the warehouse. This is a fast-paced environment requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong team-oriented mindset. In this role, you’ll be responsible for receiving, sorting, and routing mail and packages to the appropriate destinations within our facility or delivery network. Your attention to detail and reliability will play an important part in keeping daily operations running smoothly.

Ability to regularly lift, carry, load, and unload furniture, household goods, and storage items, while handling high-volume weight loads.
Ability to repeatedly load and unload storage containers and shipments, including wrapping, securing, and positioning heavy items.
Ability to remain on your feet and move around the warehouse for extended periods while handling physically demanding workloads.
Ability to perform frequent physical movements when handling furniture, wrapping items, sweeping, organizing, and maintaining the facility.
Ability to safely work in warehouse environments with changing temperatures, high-volume activity, and physically demanding conditions while operating or working around warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading storage containers and shipments with care and precision.
Properly wrapping and securing furniture and household goods to ensure items remain in excellent condition during storage or transit.
Inspecting inbound freight and taking detailed exceptions to accurately document the condition of items upon arrival.
Receiving, sorting, and accurately routing mail and packages while verifying addresses, labels, and shipment details.
Preparing outgoing mail and packages for delivery.
Operating scanners and mail-sorting equipment.
Handling all items carefully to prevent damage or loss.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area while following all safety, security, and company procedures.
Consistently meeting daily processing and delivery deadlines.
Working closely with van operators, operations staff, service providers, and customers to ensure smooth coordination and high-quality service.
Accurate recordkeeping and neat, legible paperwork.
Assisting with local or short notice moves based on the day's workload.
Contributing to a positive and professional work environment.
Reducing claims and delivering exceptional customer experience.
Additional duties may be assigned depending on your warehouse, the time of year, and the needs of your team.
