About The Position

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Logistics Lead is responsible for distribution operations, including receiving, storing, controlling inventory, picking and packing construction supply materials, and dispatching delivery trucks. The role ensures orders and inter-branch transfers are prepared according to company guidelines, supports inventory accuracy, and helps maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse. The Lead also motivates and directs staff, communicates and enforces policies, and fosters teamwork to meet operational goals. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and typically involves 45–50 hours per week. The listed salary is $22–$23; the description does not specify the pay period or currency.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in industrial warehousing or distribution operations, with a track record of results-oriented work.
Effective communication up, down, and across the organization.
High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system.
Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes.
Basic computer skills.
Positive, hard-working attitude.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and require little supervision.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to stand on a concrete floor for long periods.
Ability to work in varying climate conditions, including cold, heat, and humidity, for long periods.
Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl, and twist for lifting.
Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs.
Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents.
Analytical ability, including basic math skills.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, and be recertified.
Detail-oriented, hands-on approach and aptitude for multitasking and adapting to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure orders and inter-branch transfers are picked, checked, packed, and loaded according to company guidelines and procedures.
Ensure order accuracy and integrity, including correct material and quantity and acceptable quality and delivery.
Work with the Inbound/Inventory Manager to control inventory and reduce material “can’t finds” and errors.
Ensure parcel package shipments are processed for customer delivery.
Provide a motivating work environment where high performance and standards are the norm.
Communicate policies, ensure compliance, and consistently administer corrective action as necessary.
Foster communication and teamwork among staff to accomplish operational goals.
Accept responsibility for company projects that may be indirectly related to the role’s area of responsibility.
Work with distribution center team members to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in warehouse and processing areas.
Ensure safe work practices are followed and maintain an overall safe work environment.
Direct, coach, support, and delegate to associates.
