About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Warehouse Lead to manage materials management activities. This role involves ordering, receiving, labeling, data entry, and sampling of materials, as well as warehouse and inventory control operations, tank farm management, processing domestic and international shipments, and general distribution. The position ensures material availability, timely distribution, and customer satisfaction, while providing day-to-day coordination and technical leadership to material handling staff. The role is part of the Innovative Medicine division, focusing on developing treatments and pioneering the path from lab to life.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business, technical, and regulatory documents.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple priorities.
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs including MS Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining flexible.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform under stress in critical situations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Leads process of material management of processing materials and warehousing of finished goods.
  • Supports material management and distribution policies, standards, and practices.
  • Updates operational procedures and carries out activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments including paperwork, handling and disposition of materials, and performing necessary system transactions.
  • Establishes outside warehousing for hazardous/non-hazardous and controlled substance materials as needed.
  • Prioritizes workloads, monitors and adjusts daily work schedules, and coordinates activities to ensure schedules are met.
  • Provides guidance and supports training activities.
  • Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment to ensure cleanliness, organization and regulatory compliance.
  • Arranges for repairs and maintenance of warehouse facilities.
  • Ensures required safety equipment is available and functional.
  • Initiates purchase orders for required supplies.
  • Keeps track of inventories, ensures material availability and verifies data transactions are accurate and timely.
  • Supports physical inventories and cycle counts with Finance.
  • Monitors FIFO flow.
  • Maintains accurate receiving information and inventory in Ariba and SAP.
  • Supports Kanban replenishment.
  • Supports Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) activities including maintaining SAP inventory accuracy, ensuring timely and audit-ready transactions, and supporting reconciliations.
  • Supports warehousing of finished goods, order fulfillment, and shipment execution.
  • Coordinates logistics and ensures compliance with customs and transportation regulations.
  • Ensures records regarding material receipts and shipments are completed and maintained accurately.
  • Supports FTZ compliance, audit readiness, and documentation in partnership with Global Trade Compliance.
  • Coordinates with relevant departments to align inventory levels, delivery timing, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Supports customer service and documentation flow.
  • Provides input to departmental planning and budget awareness activities.
  • Prepares periodic reports on material status, operational metrics and regulatory activities.
  • Maintains certification as a shipping agent for hazardous materials.
  • Supports forklift training and certification activities.
  • Participates in process improvement teams, investigations, audits, and site initiatives.
  • Supports warehouse operations and fills in as a Material Handler when needed.
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement through suggestions and skill development.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, ISO and DEA regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Supports environmental responsibilities in accordance with site Environmental Management System.
  • Performs duties with attention to quality, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Completes required RCRA training relevant to the role.
  • Available for non-traditional or flexible work hours to support operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
