About The Position

This position involves driving semi-trailer trucks within the yard (CDL not required) and operating a forklift for loading and offloading semi-trailers. The role also includes general maintenance and housekeeping of the office and yard, transferring products between different packaging, and assisting in the inspection of chemical drums and totes for damage and leaks. The employee will also assist with the movement of chemical inventory in the Gardendale yard using a forklift and must wear proper PPE at all times. Proficiency with required Safety and Hazmat policies, procedures, and reporting is essential, as is maintaining, inspecting, and cleaning equipment and facilities as required.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Basic computer skills: efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type, and use a mouse
• Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace
• Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for your own actions
• Show a commitment to doing the best job
• Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging
• Tip and move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 600 lb, with the use of a drum dolly
• Ability to read, write and speak in English fluently
• Adhere to guidelines, policies, and procedures as described in the Jacam handbook
• Adhere to Jacam’s Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment
