About The Position
Hudson’s Furniture is a second generation family owned company that has been serving Florida's residents with its mission of 'Turning Houses into Homes' since 1981. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Furniture Loader to join our team. As a Furniture Loader, you will be responsible for safely loading and unloading furniture items, ensuring they are properly secured for transportation. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to handle heavy furniture items. This is a physically demanding position.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience is a plus.
- General maintenance abilities are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload furniture items from delivery trucks.
- Inspect furniture for any damages or defects before loading and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure furniture items are properly secured and protected during transportation.
- Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of furniture to customers.
- Assist with assembling and disassembling furniture items when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
