About The Position

This is a warehouse position responsible for operating an electric pallet jack, or forklift, to select the correct products, labeling product using WMS label technology, palletizing product to build customer orders and delivering the product to the dock safely and efficiently. This position requires working 5/7 p.m. until end-of-shift with all products accurately selected and loaded. Overtime hours and working weekends and holidays are required to successfully fill customers' orders. The job requires working in areas with temperature of 35 degrees wet/dry to 55 degrees.

Requirements

• Listen and follow direction/coaching of direct supervisor
• Be able to learn and understand WMS system
• Good listening and attention to detail
• Be able to work at 35 degree temperatures for entire shift
• Be able to constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack, retrieving items from lower shelf areas
• Frequently lift product that weighs 1-75 pounds
• Regularly reach up to 72 inches

Responsibilities

• Operate WMS unit to create labels and correctly place labels on product
• Stack product on pallets following proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.)
• Operate or be able to be trained to operation an electric walk behind pallet jack
• Shrink-wrap product on the loading dock
• Stage pallets for loading on proper dock locations
• Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including pallet jack, WMS unit
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and safely operate all mechanical equipment
• Other duties may be assigned
