Warehouse Lead 2nd shift $19/hr
About The Position
As a team lead, you’ll be part of our team located in Brewster, NY. You’ll get to: Leads the Shipping Department and ensures that all jobs are completed safely and correctly with a focus on quality and compliance. Planning shipping orders (Wave and Transportation planning). Especial order handling for Hillman, Grainger, Hilti, Fastenal and Exports. Perform routine shipment audits to ensure the integrity, housekeeping, security and quality of all outbound shipments. Ensures trucks are properly checked in and Out at the docking location in shipping and shipments are marked for the proper destination. Complete Pick Ups and Manual Orders. Organize and maintain all areas of Shipping department. Support development of direct reports through coaching, various training initiatives and tracking employee productivity. Responsible for overseeing shipping activities for the department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 to 4 years of warehouse management experience
- Computer knowledge with Microsoft office and WMS or similar management system
- Ability to learn quickly and adjust to a rapidly changing environment
- Results and deadline oriented
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand for duration of shift
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with LMS, TM, WMS UPS, FEDEX, DG shipping systems preferred
- Advanced knowledge of specialized orders such as Hazardous Materials
