About The Position

Responsible for coordinating the shipping, receiving, and storage of any and all materials necessary to meet the production requirements of PCL’s sales demand. Additional duties will be to monitor Warehouse personnel daily activities and supervise all areas of operation on the Warehouse floor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years related work experience in Warehouse Operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment, but not required
  • One year work experience in a leadership role
  • Must be certified to operate a Forklift
  • A thorough understanding of the manufacturing process and quality control procedures used in a manufacturing warehousing environment
  • Ability to forecast, analyze, and identify improvement opportunities in the Warehouse
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills; to include the ability to multi-task
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in order to be able to lead Warehouse employees to the completion of their assigned job duties
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to relay information with tact, diplomacy, patience, and professionalism
  • Good business writing skills with proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar to create written instructions, memos, and correspondence, as needed
  • Must be able to demonstrate analytical ability in identifying problems, developing solutions, and implementing a course of action
  • PC Skills including Word, Excel and Outlook, and other corporate software programs or comparable software
  • Warehouse Safety experience to include the ability to provide proper training and oversight for all Warehouse employees on Forklift Safety, Proper Lifting, and Fall Harness Protection usage
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading
  • Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

Responsibilities

  • Handle shipping and receiving functions to support other departments to attain their functional goals
  • Provide coordination and direction between the Warehouse Attendants and warehouse shipments/movements
  • Conduct initial training and monitor performance progression of all Warehouse Attendants
  • Assist in the creation, upkeep, and implementation of Warehouse standard operating procedures
  • Assist Warehouse Manager / Supervisor in problem-solving in coordination with other departments, as requested
  • Supervise duties and/or projects assigned to Warehouse staff by Warehouse Manager / Supervisor
  • Conduct Warehouse Attendant / Shipping & Receiving Clerk duties, as needed
  • Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope
  • Contributes to and supports the corporation’s quality initiatives by encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation’s quality improvement efforts
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
