About The Position

As a Lead, direct team in daily assignments related to shipping and picking operations in support of production. Assist Supervisor and/or Manager as needed. Communicate assignments effectively to team members, directing them on daily activities (written and verbal). Work directly with employees to train, certify, and provide feedback. Maintain consistency in employee expectations across the shift to include tracking of errors, attendance, and adherence to company policies. Conduct employee meetings on a daily basis providing safety briefing, daily goals, and other information as needed. Work with Inventory Control team members to ensure proper procedures are followed for warehouse activities. Communicate with Supervisors in departments such as Safety, Shipping, Picking, and Inventory. Make sound decisions based on production and shipping needs. Ability to be First Responder on assigned shift. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 4+ years in warehouse/distribution environment.
  • Leadership experience required.
  • Experience operating multiple types of material handling equipment (specifically sit-down fork trucks and reach trucks) in a manufacturing/warehouse environment, including having trained team members on this.
  • Experience with RF scanners required.
  • Must be able to read/write/speak English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in WMS (SAP preferred).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
