About The Position

As an RDC Lead, you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse; including, but not limited to, shipping and receiving, purchasing, product delivery, budgeting, inventory control, warehouse safety and housekeeping, and the direction of warehouse staff activities. The primary duties include assigning work duties, developing and implementing improved methods of materials handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficiency, service, and reduced costs. This role ensures a safe and hazard-free work environment, provides for the security, scheduled maintenance, and calibration of warehouse and warehouse equipment, and ensures local delivery orders are picked, staged, audited, and loaded onto delivery vehicles per delivery routes constructed in Innovo. The Lead identifies deficiencies and/or areas of improvement and communicates them to the management team for resolution. They also ensure appropriate training is provided to and completed by warehouse team members and are responsible for the overall supervision of the warehouse operations in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Communication with supervisor and manager is essential when operations are not in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws for further investigation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse, electrical product materials handling, and/or wholesale electrical parts distribution capacity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Demonstrated product and application knowledge.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Ability to utilize, or learn to use, all necessary computer software and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and arithmetic.
  • Ability to use contemporary merchandise processing equipment, such as hand-held scanners.
  • Proficient in general computer usage, to include Microsoft Office programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Innovo, preferred.
