About The Position

USAgain is a global leader in the secondhand clothing industry focused on PEOPLE, PLANET, and PROFIT. The company collects used clothes and shoes to extend the life cycle of textiles and promote reuse. This specific role is located in Mount Vernon, NY, and is a physically demanding position requiring consistent physical exertion, including lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods. The work schedule is Monday-Friday with 1 to 2 Saturdays per month, for 8 hours a day, with a salary of $30 per hour.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Some experience driving an 18' to 26' box truck for pick-ups or deliveries
  • No driving accidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than two tickets in the past 3 years
  • No DUIs in the past 7 years
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Capability to twist, bend, and engage in repetitive physical movements throughout the day
  • Ability to read and comprehend memos, reports, and a variety of instructions in written, oral, and schedule forms
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in both driving and physical work environments
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexibility to work hours based on business needs, including possible evenings
  • Forklift experience required
  • This position is highly labor-intensive and requires consistent physical exertion throughout the day.
  • Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role that involves lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods as part of daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising all aspects of the warehouse and warehouse team
  • Schedule warehouse teams' hours to stay below budget while exceeding 1250 lbs/hour
  • Works closely with the Division Manager to schedule production labor around loads planned on the planning board
  • Performs product Quality Control – proactively inspects the quality of clothes, shoes, and miscellaneous items
  • Performs inventories as needed
  • Orders warehouse supplies as needed
  • Works closely with the Transportation Lead and Division Manager to determine seasonal receiving hours
  • Responsible for upkeep of physical plant and equipment
  • Load and unload trucks utilizing pallet jacks, carts, and Gaylords
  • The stage finished product in designated loading areas
  • Repair and maintain collection boxes
