This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business. The Warehouse Lead spends much of their time training warehouse associates in duties and responsibilities and all associates in the safe use of equipment according to SOPs. They observe performance to correct behaviors as necessary and may require the use of a radio frequency (RF) device to perform daily tasks. This role is responsible for assisting warehouse personnel with the efficient execution of order filling, receiving, stocking, and returns. The lead may oversee shipping and general operations (UPS, emergency orders, or general deliveries). They continue to perform as an individual contributor completing advanced tasks and decision-making with detailed knowledge of the position and procedures. The Warehouse Lead provides day-to-day tactical direction and guidance to warehouse associates and is responsible for daily workloads. They coordinate and recommend efficiencies to workflow and manage inventory, including monitoring levels. The role may involve using forklifts, reach trucks, and/or other motorized equipment to move inventory. Additionally, the lead assists in the supervision of the department, including assignment of work, manpower needs to cover associate vacations, and building volume. They participate in associate concerns such as reporting and follow-up to a supervisor and utilize computer system applications for proper operation and reports. Compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and state and DEA regulations is required. Performs related duties as assigned.
