Warehouse Lead - 1st Shift

About The Position

The Warehouse Lead oversees an assigned team and area in the warehouse to keep operations running smoothly and help provide exceptional daily solutions for customers. The role supports warehouse management, helps ensure inventory and orders are handled accurately and on time, and promotes a safe, clean, customer-focused work environment. This is a first-shift position, Monday through Thursday, from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role requires frequent lifting and physical activity, working at heights using warehouse equipment, and tolerating hot and cold work environments.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
At least 1 year of SAP experience.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to carry objects 3–5 feet weighing up to 50 lbs. routinely.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods exceeding 4 hours.
Ability to walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4–5 miles) per day.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lifts.
Ability to tolerate hot and cold work environments.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.
At least 1 year of experience as a supervisor.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Skills in inventory control and cycle counting.

Responsibilities

Oversee operational processes to maintain correct inventory levels and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
Review workloads and assign tasks to employees.
Train and coach the warehouse team, provide developmental opportunities, and recommend performance improvement actions as needed.
Use the warehouse management system correctly and maintain appropriate work documents.
Establish, maintain, and promote exceptional customer service.
Interpret and enforce company policies and safety procedures to ensure compliance.
Safely operate various equipment and tools.
Provide support and backup to warehouse management.
Track orders and investigate problems.
Catalog and track goods and supplies.
Maintain a clean environment in accordance with the 7S program.
Work safely to protect team members and oneself.
