About The Position

RJW Logistics Group is hiring a Warehouse Lead for their 2nd shift operations. This role is crucial for maintaining an orderly warehouse, ensuring accurate staging and loading of shipments, and overseeing material handling activities. The Warehouse Lead will also ensure that Material Handlers operate forklifts and walkies safely, adhering to all company policies and procedures. This position reports to the shift supervisor.

Requirements

2-4 years in a warehouse environment.
Good stable work and attendance record.
Reach truck, Sit down forklift and/or Clamp experience.
Experience operating material handling equipment and using an RF scanner
Must comply with the company’s safety policies while using lifting devices (forklifts and scissor lifts) and clean initiative standards.
Ability to work as part of a team and lead.
He / she must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Attention to detail and quality a must.
Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.
Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts.
Major experience on sit down forklifts and walkies.
Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.
Experienced in cross docking freight process.
Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse.

Nice To Haves

Warehousing certifications a plus.
PC skills helpful.

Responsibilities

Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Lean Warehousing
Experience operating material handling equipment and using an RF scanner
Pull and stage parts for production and complete requisitions for parts shortages.
Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment.
Comply with the company’s safety policies while using lifting devices (forklifts and scissor lifts) and clean initiative standards.
Learn day to day warehouse operations.
Verify orders are complete and accurate.
Pick each customer order in the most effective manner possible to minimize shipping costs and insure product safety.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.
General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
Ability to work as part of a team and lead.
Read, write, and understand English.
Attention to detail and quality.
