About The Position

SBM Life Science is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring safe and efficient production, packaging, and storage of products. This role involves leading a team, enforcing safety standards, managing environmental responsibilities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, leadership experience, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Requirements

2+ years in warehouse operations with at least 1 year in a lead, safety, or supervisory capacity.
High school diploma required.
Forklift certification required.
Valid driver’s license required (ability to meet DOT requirements).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to identify and resolve safety risks.
Working knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree preferred.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities to ensure safe, efficient production, packaging, and storage of products.
Assign work, monitor workflow, and support team execution.
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, conduct audits/inspections, lead safety meetings, and drive a zero-incident culture.
Ensure proper handling of waste and hazardous materials while maintaining compliance documentation.
Support and mentor warehouse employees, promote accountability, and provide guidance on safety and operational best practices.
Investigate accidents and near misses, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
Identify safety and process improvement opportunities and partner with leadership to enhance performance.
