About The Position

Perform activities related to shipping, receiving and/or inventory control. This role requires expertise in one or multiple areas of the warehouse department, communication with management regarding daily operations, and the ability to schedule LTL and FTL shipments while investigating logistical issues. The position may also involve stepping in as interim Warehouse Manager if absent, utilizing inventory control systems like DSP, CSI, or SAP, and ensuring customer satisfaction by communicating with Supply Chain and Customer Service. Additionally, the role includes planning and executing training for new team members.

Requirements

• Good leadership, organizational, communication and math skills.
• Advanced computer skills including MRP systems, email, chat, internet and scanning systems.
• Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 7 years of prior warehouse experience, or 2 years with PTI.

Responsibilities

• Expert in one or multiple areas of the warehouse department.
• Communicates with Branch, Warehouse, and/or Operations Manager regarding daily operations.
• Scheduling LTL and FTL shipments and investigating logistical issues.
• Ability to step in as interim Warehouse Manager if absent.
• Expert in inventory control systems using DSP, CSI, or SAP.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through communicating with Supply Chain and Customer Service regarding material, product, orders, shipments, etc.
• Plan and carry out all training of new team members as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
