About The Position
As the Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for leading an efficient, productive, and safe team, while meeting or exceeding daily production requirements. You will ensure good work attitudes, atmosphere, and communication to maximize productivity. This role requires proficiency in leading team training, development, and writing performance appraisals. This position will oversee anywhere from 2-5 hourly associates depending on the time of year.
Requirements
- Must be able to operate Powered handling equipment (Fork truck, Stock picker, pallet truck, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Have general knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Manage current and future inventory
- Conduct cycle counts, reduce product shrink, and manage aged inventory
- Gather all necessary information at the end of each shift and send daily recap of work completed
- Lead a team of employees in a technical, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that emphasizes process automation
- Spend the majority of the workday on the warehouse floor to provide visible leadership to employees, and drive a motivated, positive, productive workforce to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Identify, coach, and develop employees through training, performance reviews, coaching, support, and delegation as appropriate for their development level
- Provide input and feedback to the VP of Operations regarding employee performance and provide feedback
- Take timely action to improve performance
- Establish an environment that is conducive to collaboration and teamwork which promotes positive employee relations and takes steps to prevent or diffuse conflicts
- Manage day-to-day operations of the fulfillment center
