About The Position

The Warehouse Lead position at St. Mary�s Food Bank assists the Warehouse Supervisor in the oversight of team members and their work assignments. This individual is responsible for loading and unloading trailers, receipt of goods and material in the warehouse, assisting other functions within the facility, performing quality control checks of product incoming and departing the warehouse, verification of product and product rotation following FIFO and FEFO principles. Responsible for facility security (opening/closing, setting alarm system and Saturday operations, where applicable).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Forklift Certification
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) Equipment
  • Maintain positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
  • Able to accurately use basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Able to operate computer systems or handheld devices with minimal direction after receiving training
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to understand, speak, and read English with sufficient proficiency to follow safety and other policies, trainings, and instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse and lead experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving, weighing, put-away, and staging of all incoming product.
  • Assist with the staging, verification, and loading of all outgoing material.
  • Coordinates the storage and rotation of all product within the coolers and freezers daily, following FIFO and FEFO principles.
  • Monitors all warehouse equipment to ensure preventive maintenance/repairs are accomplished.
  • Coordinates with other Departments to ensure timely and efficient support as necessary.
  • Coordinates with Transportation on load assignments, priorities and proper load procedures.
  • Oversees the staging of all product designated for distribution.
  • Maintains an orderly, clean and safe warehouse environment at all times.
  • Understand all team duties and responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors/managers and all customers.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Warehouse Leadership.
  • Any other tasks as business needs dictate.
  • Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
  • Provides all internal/external customers of St. Mary�s Food Bank with an excellent service experience.
