The Warehouse Lead plans, organizes, and monitors the receiving, storage, and distribution of medical products to include prescription drugs and devices received from suppliers to ensure on-time, quality shipments to customers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two to four years of experience in warehousing required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Effective communication skills through verbal and written means
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables
  • Ability to operate all battery equipment, i.e. Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Pallet Jack and Walkie Rider
  • Organized and efficient with strong prioritization skills
  • Experience with Warehouse management system (WMS)

Responsibilities

  • Perform functions related to receiving of product including new, used, service, and returned goods, observing all safety precautions
  • Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be picked and shipped
  • Oversee the unloading of trucks, inspect for damaged merchandise, matching purchase orders to bill of lading/packing slip
  • Assemble and pack customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or in bins
  • Process orders using approved carrier’s online service
  • Pack all items using proper procedures to prevent damages. Include packing slip with each order
  • Perform product inspection for outgoing orders and perform a secondary quality check of other team members’ orders for accuracy.
  • Monitor and confirm records on incoming shipments; ensure receiving reports accurately report material received.
  • Become DSCSA Tracelink SIT application subject matter expert for inbound process, train receiving team on proper serialization track and trace processes.
  • Attach required labels to packages, compliant with all HAZMAT shipping laws and requirements
  • Verify items on order for accuracy, ensure serial numbers are captured in RF unit when applicable
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Document and maintain working procedures for all tasks
  • Adhere to all FDA and DEA procedures and guidelines – ensure staff is educated and acting accordingly
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed
