About The Position

This role involves assisting a Supervisor in coordinating workflow, assigning tasks, and monitoring team member productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety, and overall efficiency. The position requires planning and coordinating warehouse operations to achieve on-time deliveries, resolving issues during order processing, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The individual will also be responsible for training team members, making suggestions for process improvements, and performing all duties in accordance with safety and security standards. Additionally, this role includes driving vehicles or operating machinery to complete assignments.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • One (1) year related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Ability to work required schedule and arrive at work on time.
  • Ability and willingness to work voluntary/mandatory overtime that is required during all busy seasons.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (in writing and verbally) in a courteous and professional manner with others.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Ability to identify and compare letters and numbers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of Team Members or customers of the Company.
  • Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, and management.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Supervisor in coordinating workflow and recommending work assignments.
  • Reviews orders, shipping or receiving notices to determine work sequences.
  • Assigns job functions to Team Members based on schedules and operational demands.
  • Assigns work and monitors productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety, and overall efficiency.
  • Conducts team talks or start-up meetings.
  • Plans assignments, coordinates and monitors operations within the warehouse to ensure on-time deliveries, reducing irregularities and damage.
  • Resolves issues that arise when orders are being picked, loaded, or inbounded.
  • Ensures safety in work processes and Team Member performance by supporting safety programs, educating Team Members, and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Communicates policies, safety regulations, and SOPs to Team Members, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Assists in corrective action as necessary and documents issues and actions taken.
  • Ensures that the facility is maintained clean and in an orderly fashion.
  • Ensures that product damage is kept to a minimum.
  • Coaches and counsels Team Members regarding job performance, methods of performing job tasks, and safety.
  • Investigates operational errors to determine the cause and recommends corrective action.
  • Confers with management personnel to establish and maintain inventory accuracy and quality control standards.
  • Informs Supervisor of all operating issues and problems and makes recommendations for corrective action.

  • Drives vehicles or operates machines or equipment to complete work assignments or to assist workers.
  • Confers with management, supervisors, and Team Members to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.
  • Conducts group and/or one-on-one training sessions on topics such as company culture, job functions, and safety guidelines.
  • Makes suggestions on improving work procedures, building efficiency, customer service levels, work conditions, product quality, and minimizing expenses.
  • Maintains reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

Benefits

  • $24.75 per hour + $2 per hour shift differential, paid quarterly if all requirements are met
