Warehouse Lead - Outbound

CRAFTS GROUP LLCColumbus, OH
$23 - $25Onsite

About The Position

Local Crafts is looking for an experienced Warehouse Lead to support the Outbound team in our Columbus, Ohio warehouse. This role has three core responsibilities that shift based on what the team needs in the moment. The Lead is responsible for owning and executing specialized order flows, including Amazon fulfillment, B2B, and trade show shipments. When the team has questions or runs into issues, the Lead steps in to troubleshoot, guide, and resolve them on the spot. When operations are running smoothly, the Lead also picks and ships orders alongside the team. The ability to move fluidly between these responsibilities is what makes this role work. The right person for this role has strong hands-on warehouse experience, is comfortable working in computer-based order management systems such as NetSuite and Microsoft Excel, communicates clearly, and genuinely enjoys helping others do their jobs well.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience, with direct experience in order picking, shipping, or fulfillment operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of picking and shipping processes, including accuracy and quality standards.
  • Clear communicator who can explain procedures to team members at different experience levels.
  • Able to stay calm and effective when problems come up mid-shift.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Willing to work overtime when the business needs it.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a training, lead, or mentorship role preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP/warehouse management system for order processing preferred.
  • Moves naturally between supporting the team and doing the work themselves.
  • Takes ownership of team accuracy, not just their own.
  • Spots patterns in problems and brings solutions, not just symptoms.
  • Gives clear, practical guidance without making people feel bad for asking.
  • Holds quality and safety standards consistently, even when it's busy.
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Amazon fulfillment orders in accordance with Amazon's packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements.
  • Manage B2B order fulfillment, including case-pack and bulk shipment requirements for wholesale accounts.
  • Prepare and ship trade show shipments, coordinating timing and special handling requirements with the sales and events teams.
  • Ensure compliance with channel-specific requirements to avoid chargebacks, fulfillment errors, or delays.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for questions from the picking and shipping team during the shift.
  • Troubleshoot order errors, process questions, and system or equipment issues in real time.
  • Walk team members through correct procedures when issues arise, reinforcing accuracy and quality standards.
  • Identify recurring questions or gaps and flag them to warehouse leadership so they can be addressed upstream.
  • Support onboarding of new team members by walking them through picking and shipping workflows.
  • Monitor and unblock aged orders in NetSuite, escalating exceptions to warehouse leadership as needed.
  • Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Verify product quantities and ensure order accuracy before staging.
  • Assist with packing and shipping operations as needed.
  • Ensure all orders are packed securely and meet company quality standards prior to shipment.
  • Inspect products and packaging for quality concerns or damage before shipment.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damaged product, or operational concerns to management.
  • Assist with inventory organization and warehouse housekeeping.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
