About The Position

Assists the Warehouse Manager by overseeing the daily operations of the Nutrition warehouse, with primary responsibility for receiving, inventory accuracy, product quality, and staff coordination. Ensures food and supplies are received, inspected, labeled, rotated, stored, and documented accurately in accordance with established procedures and food safety standards. Works closely with the Warehouse Manager and secondary Lead to coordinate daily operations, ensuring Nutrition Services has the food and supplies needed to prepare and serve safe, high-quality meals efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent
  • Ability to drive a district-assigned commercial fleet vehicle
  • Ability to operate forklift
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer software to manage inventory, generate reports, and maintain records.
  • Shipping and Receiving knowledge
  • CO Drivers License - State of CO
  • Forklift certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the receiving process by inspecting, counting, verifying, documenting, labeling, dating, rotating (FIFO), and properly storing products in accordance with food safety standards and district procedures
  • Resolve discrepancies between received products and invoices or other receiving documents
  • Monitor product quality and inventory accuracy to minimize discrepancies, product loss, and waste
  • Utilize warehouse management systems and other computer software to process inventory transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with inventory counts, warehouse organization, and inventory control activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of the School Nutrition Services Department
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and fellow Leads to prioritize work and ensure efficient warehouse operations
  • Serve as the Person in Charge when the Warehouse Manager is absent
  • Coordinate daily work assignments and schedules for warehouse staff and delivery drivers
  • Assist with training warehouse staff on receiving procedures, warehouse systems, and safe work practices
  • Adapt to changing operational priorities while providing excellent customer service
  • Monitor warehouse equipment and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
