About The Position

TOMRA North America, a leading international Reverse Vending and Recycling Company, is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist for its Shelton, CT facility. This role is central to supporting a sustainable future through intelligent and pioneering tools. The Warehouse Inventory Technician is responsible for comprehensive inventory control, including cycle counts, year-end counts, assisting auditors, and managing inventory adjustments. This position also involves the shipping and receiving of all parts and supplies, and close collaboration with shop technicians to meet daily inventory and warehousing needs within the Tomra repair and refurbish facility.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing practices.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of shipping/receiving experience within a service parts business model.
  • Prior experience using UPS, FedEx, and other trucking and shipping systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Class C driver's license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage parts inventory, including cycle counts, year-end counts, assisting with auditors, and inventory adjustments.
  • Ship parts and product to customers and field service employees.
  • Manage daily warehouse tasks, including cleaning and organizing.
  • Assist with the day-to-day task assignments of shop technicians to meet field requirements.
  • Issue and document all parts, supplies, etc., pulled and returned from inventory.
  • Establish and maintain consistent inventory room hours for assigned technicians.
  • Assist with safety and environmental programs for shop operations and personnel.
  • Manage disposal of shop refuse, including scrap metal and hazardous waste.
  • Assist with the security of the facility.
  • Provide regular verbal and written reports to management regarding inventory concerns, shop facility and Tomra equipment, and other pertinent issues relating to the operation of the Shelton, CT location.
