About The Position

Meyer Distributing is looking for a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join our Hugo, MN team. Meyer Distributing is a complete wholesale distributor serving automotive, RV/towing, outdoor living, marine, and more, with over 85 locations nationwide. Meyer Logistics, their transportation company, supports the shipping network with a fleet of over 500 trucks. The company is driven to perform and is seeking motivated individuals to join their team.

Requirements

Good computer skills and knowledge of WMS software
Positive attitude and have ability to be self-motivated
Ability to give special attention to detail
Ability to identify letters and numbers
Demonstrate leadership skills and abilities
Planning/organizing and follow up skills
Quality control- the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
Adaptability- the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
Dependability- the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
Communication - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills up and down organizational structure

Nice To Haves

High School graduate or equivalent preferred
Previous warehouse experience
Ability to operate a forklift or man lift preferred

Responsibilities

Locating inventory that is on the warehouse site, but not located in the correct location
Handle all details associated with inventory transfers
Perform cycle counts
Handle details associated with stock adjustments and returns
Communicate with Meyer warehouse lead and logistics to determine the most efficient way to deliver/return items to the vendor
Receive and approve vendor credit invoices
Research discrepancies
Handle research of receiving and invoice issues
