About The Position

The Warehouse-Inventory Manager leads warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, asset readiness, labor management, quality control, and safety compliance. This role oversees the movement, storage, maintenance, and accountability of rental inventory while driving operational efficiency, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting exceptional client service. This position is also responsible for effectively managing labor, productivity, and quality control in alignment with department standards and expectations. The Warehouse Manager may also perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Up to three years of related experience or training in warehouse or operations management.
  • Must obtain certifications in IC/Battery Forklift, and Scissor Lift within the first six months of employment.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using units of weight, volume, and distance in both Imperial and Metric systems.
  • Ability to read and speak basic English to comprehend instructions and exchange accurate information regarding client orders and equipment status.
  • Knowledge of how to use cleaning agents and disinfecting solutions safely; ability to follow Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and use PPE correctly.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and resolve problems in standardized situations.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to provide clear instructions and memos to co-workers and maintain consistent communication with supervisors.
  • Ability to handle concrete variables and "hands-on" problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasts labor requirements based on future work; breaks down workload into assignments and prioritizes and delegates assignments to staff.
  • Plans layout of the work area and storage areas, considering inventory turns, size, weight, and related factors of items being stored.
  • Monitors productivity and quality objectives.
  • Completes reports as directed by manager.
  • Leads department meetings and attends department, location, and safety meetings.
  • Conducts annual inventory and periodic cycle counts of Warehouse equipment.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records within ERP and inventory systems.
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and control records; recommends remedial actions.
  • Ensures cleaning supplies, packing supplies, and installation equipment are stocked.
  • Works with Operations team to investigate causes of damages or shortages in delivered or returned goods.
  • Pulls and moves equipment to proper staging area for delivery according to client orders; performs quality checks to ensure accurate counts and proper function.
  • Directs staff in loading equipment into trucks, ensuring items are properly loaded and secure; counts and records items on correct paperwork.
  • Oversees the pulling of rental inventory from staging areas and the loading/unloading of items in accordance with client contracts.
  • Performs all standard safety checks prior to sending equipment out for delivery.
  • Maintains accurate records of equipment and vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance is completed on equipment and vehicles.
  • Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and pulled, and use of equipment in handling goods.
  • Inspects, cleans, and maintains equipment as specified by manufacturer and company procedures.
  • Checks and logs returned equipment according to company procedures.
  • Logs broken, damaged, and missing equipment and turns reports into the Inventory Manager or Operations Admin.
  • Wraps, packages, and returns cleaned equipment to the appropriate storage area.
  • Trains all assigned warehouse staff.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment; always keeps work area neat and orderly.
  • Follows all report procedures for safety violations and injuries.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations (including correct use of PPE) and complies with government safety requirements.
  • Works with other supervisors to resolve equipment and order problems.
