Warehouse Inventory Control - 1st Shift
About The Position
This role is responsible for assembling orders, preparing goods for shipment, and managing inventory. The position involves receiving and unpacking materials, reporting damages, and acting as a primary contact for shipping and receiving. The individual will maintain vendor and internal department relationships, operate shipping equipment, and manage mailing paperwork. Responsibilities also include maintaining inventory levels, completing cycle counts, delivering items, processing customer returns, and resolving shipping-related tasks. The role requires working with various computer programs and operating specific warehouse equipment.
Requirements
- HS/GED plus 1-year inventory control/cycle counting experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate to advance skills with SAP.
- Experience with life equipment (Reach Lift, Order Picker, electric pallet jack and counterbalance.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Nice To Haves
- HS/GED plus 2-years inventory control/cycle counting experience.

- Ability to compare and verify paper documents to system and physical product.
Responsibilities
- Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
- Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
- Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
- Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
- Acts as primary and often sole contact for shipping and receiving.
- Completes shipping and receiving reports.
- Performs under general direction contributing to company quality and service commitments within the areas of shipping and receiving.
- Maintain vendor and internal department relationships to ensure communication of shipping/mailing issues.
- Operates UPS shipping equipment & prepares packages for pickup.
- Accurately complete mailing paperwork, QC and manage mailing jobs, Ship customer proofs.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Completes cycle counts and fills replenishments.
- Delivers/routs items to departments or delivery locations. May deliver roll stock to presses.
- Process required customer returns and coordinates inter-plant returns of product or equipment.
- Resolve all tasks and responds to notes assigned to shipping (such as freight shipping quotes, split ship requests, special handling etc.) in a timely manner, documenting all steps.
- Work with various computer programs such as SAP, WM (Warehouse Materials), Lotus Notes, Excel, RF Radios, Scanners, DSI, and Keywill, entering tracking numbers/proofs/other data etc.
- Safely operate pallet jack, forklift, Vaculux, T-wrapper, Roll Clamp Truck, RC Trucks, TSP Trucks and banding equipment.
