About The Position

The Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods across production and warehouse storage operations. This position performs routine and spot cycle counts, investigates inventory discrepancies, audits inventory transactions, and supports inventory control processes that help ensure uninterrupted production and customer service. The role works closely with Warehouse Operations, Production, Customer Service, Accounting, Purchasing, and Quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in inventory control within a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using ERP systems.
  • Experience performing routine and spot cycle counts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Perform routine scheduled cycle counts and spot cycle counts throughout warehouse operations.
  • Investigate, reconcile, and document inventory discrepancies.
  • Research root causes of inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Audit inventory transactions related to receiving, production, transfers, adjustments, and shipping.
  • Conduct location audits and inventory accuracy reviews.
  • Support physical inventories and internal or external audits.
  • Partner with Warehouse, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Accounting to resolve inventory issues.
  • Work with Customer Service and Accounting to research and resolve inventory discrepancies reported by customers and vendors.
  • Investigate shortages, overages, damages, returns, and inventory-related billing discrepancies.
  • Prepare inventory reports and communicate findings to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
