About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring Warehouse Inventory Clerks/Cycle Counters in Port Deposit, Maryland. This role involves conducting cycle counts and inventory audits, auditing inbound and outbound shipments, and providing floor support for inventory-related issues. The position requires maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with an emphasis on safety and ensuring inventory accuracy to meet client demands. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
  • One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
  • One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
  • Depending on location may be required to be equipment certified
  • Ability to recognize and read location, date and product codes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow up practices
  • Willingness to operate PIT equipment, as there will be times the job will require operating a high reach order picker up to 30 feet

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Conduct audits of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Participate in physical inventories as necessary.
  • Provide floor support to Operation Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
